Introduction

For the past 10 years Terry and Mary Porter have been having horse shows in their back yard. Granted, their back yard wasn't the usual. They owned and operated Porters Rainbow Acres Horse Farm. It is here that they boarded horses, bred quarter horses, had clinics, hosted 4-H meetings, and had schooling shows ten months out of the year just about every year.

Two years after they purchased the dairy farm next door to them and converted it to a horse barn, disaster struck, and, the main barn burned to the ground. They lost 2 horses, and 2 others were badly burned. The rest of the horses were turned loose by a watchful neighbor. Rather than just rebuild the barn, they first put up a large indoor arena.

As soon as it was useable, they started having horse shows. The first one had a great turn out, and that

encouraged them to continue having them.

It wasn't long before the Porters were in a routine. Some were of course, better than others. They had an occasional disgruntled customer. But, all things

considered, the general opinion was that the horse shows were FUN, if nothing else.

So if you would like to have some fun with your horses, and share the experience with other people and their horses, this book is just what you need.
