In1991 we purchased a dairy farm next door and converted it into a horse barn. After we first put up a large indoor arena.
we started having horse shows. We called it Porters Rainbow
Acres Horse Farm. It is here that we boarded horses, bred quarter horses, had clinics, hosted 4-H meetings, and had schooling shows ten months out of the year just about every year. The general opinion was that the horse shows were FUN, and a good learning experience for riders of all ages.
We have been involved with 4-H for the past 28 years. Three of our children have had horse projects, and with all our kids in 4-H we have had experience with other projects as well.
After relocating to Kentucky and enjoying the beautiful area we chose to live in, we all agreed that we missed the old barn lifestyle. We found a great barn to start hosting equine activities once again.
